About

Three sisters, one practice

The family came from Criciuma, Brazil. Their paternal grandmother, a deeply spiritual woman, had a premonition when the girls were small that each of them would grow up and touch many lives. She did not know it would look like this. Their parents moved to the United States in 1988 chasing the American Dream, and each daughter helped them reach it by reaching her own.

Rosalino Counseling Services, LLC offers trauma informed care, immigration psychological evaluations, and school based services in English, Spanish, and Portuguese.

Co-Founder, owner, and clinical director

Suelem was born and raised in Criciuma, Brazil, where she knew poverty, narrow options, and the particular weight of not knowing what the next year would hold. She came to the United States without English as a first language and without a map for any of it.

She learned the language, adapted to a new country, and kept going one step at a time until she had earned a Master's degree and then a Doctorate. Those degrees are not just hers. They carry every late night and every moment she chose to keep going when quitting would have been reasonable.

Today she works with children, adolescents, adults, and families moving through trauma, anxiety, depression, and hard transitions. She built Rosalino Counseling Services so people would have a place to be met without having to translate their pain first.

I know what it feels like to be in a dark place. I also know that healing is possible, even when it feels out of reach.

What clients say about working with Suelem

“She never once made me explain my accent or my history before she believed me. I stopped bracing every time I walked into a room.”

Sandrina RosalinoPsyD candidate, LMFT

Clinical therapist and psychological evaluator

Sandrina sits with people on the day they have to tell the hardest version of their story to a system that will grade it. Her evaluations are careful, thorough, and written with the understanding that a document can decide where a family lives.

She is completing her doctorate while carrying a clinical caseload, and she brings the same steadiness to a session that she brings to every written evaluation.

Portrait of Sabrina Rosalino

Sabrina RosalinoLCSW

Co-Founder and clinician, family court and immigration

Sabrina works with people in the stretch of the process nobody posts about, after the crisis has passed and before anything looks like a breakthrough. Progress there is uneven, the wins are quiet, and most people need someone who will not rush them.

Her approach is steady and plain. Small tools, used often, in the actual week the client is living. Her notes throughout the journal carry the same tone she uses in session.

She earned her undergraduate degree in Criminal Justice at Saint Leo University, where the work was all about why people end up in front of a court and what actually changes that path. She went on to earn her Master of Social Work at Clark Atlanta University, one of the nation's historically Black colleges and universities. Training at an HBCU shaped how she thinks about community, access, and who gets believed, and that grounding shows up in her family court and immigration work today.

What clients say about working with Sabrina

“She gave me three things to do instead of twenty. I actually did the three.”

Portrait of Elizabeth M. Fink

Elizabeth M. FinkLMHC-A

Mental health counselor associate

Lizzie was inspired to become a counselor by her own experience living with type 1 diabetes. Diagnosed at age five, she understands the emotional and physical challenges that can come with a chronic illness. The support of a therapist helped her rediscover hope and enthusiasm for life, and she now offers that same encouragement to others.

Originally from Baltimore, Maryland, Lizzie moved to Rhode Island in 2006 to attend Johnson & Wales University, where she earned a Bachelor of Science in Baking and Pastry Arts in 2010. She worked in bakeries across Rhode Island before opening her own bakery in North Providence in 2018. After the pandemic led her to sell the business, she began graduate school at Capella University in 2021 and earned her master's degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling in 2024. She completed her internships at Rosalino Counseling Services, where she now works full time, and she earned her certification in play therapy in 2025.

Lizzie places the therapeutic relationship at the foundation of her work. She prioritizes building trust and creating a supportive space where each client feels heard, understood, and comfortable being themselves. She incorporates child centered play therapy, cognitive behavioral therapy, dialectical behavior therapy techniques, and practical coping skills to help young people understand and manage big emotions. Through play, creativity, and conversation, she helps clients express themselves, recognize their strengths, and develop skills to navigate life's challenges.
